What is our system?
Our system achieves a traditional look, with the peace of mind and reduced costs that only the modern technical methods can bring, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of traditional construction in a natural material, but with little to no maintenance. Build times are significantly reduced with a perfect result every time. With three major parts, the system is an easily understood assembly process.
The advantages of our system
The
connection
This is the ultimate in timber connection. It is designed not only for high strength, but also for use in variable climate. Due to the fundamental connection relying on the steel plates and tubes matching up, the moisture changes in the wood do not cause any concern or inhibit the connection system from working efficiently and easily.
Installation
advantages
Two peoples can easily build one of our structures with minimal tools and skills. This means you would benefit from the unique time saving design reducing build times and labour costs.
½ hour fire
approval
Our system complies to BS 486-21 half hour fire exposure, which is considered suitable for the support of the supper floor loading. This negates the requirement for fire calculations if half hour determination is required.
Weight & construction advantages
Our system is a safe site product proving strength at easily managed weights. Posts and beams are supplied in easily transportable modular length to a maximum of 5M. there is no need for a crane or multi lift as two people can handle the components.
Adjustable Post Base Plate
The system includes a comprehensive and unique post to ground fixing solution. (An additional 60mm can be achieved from the same post length giving a maximum eaves height of 2220mm.)
This specially engineered base plate is designed to maximise full support and at the same time positively fix the post to the ground below. An additional benefit is the 60mm of adjustment of the baseplate for an over-site that may not be level, an ideal solution, especially in garages and stables where frequent washing occurs as it keeps the post above any moisture.
Foundations
When it comes to foundations we ask clients to check with their local builders as to which foundation type is suitable as there are a number of factor which determine the best method including:- structural loadings, soil conditions, soil types e.g sandstone, clay etc, proximity to surrounding vegetation, and landscape contour (slope of site).
