As we are fully in our summer period at Bolton Buildings with our Carports and Garages still proving popular with house builders, we have been busy working behind the scenes to create a Timber Framed Solar Car Port which has been successful and is now available as a new product offering. Using Glulam timbers and aluminium fixings, we have designed a structurally proven building which is fastened to foundations using bespoke treated metal baseplates. These buildings provide both ample parking, plus an environmental offering with solar panels creating the roof covering, giving the option to either put power into batteries to run your home and electric car, or to put straight back into the grid.
With our commercial side of the business running smoothly we have been focusing on our bespoke buildings which are proving popular, from Garden Rooms to Glamping Pods, we have been keeping busy. This period of the year is also busy for our sport pavilion area of our business, providing designs and advice for future projects. No project is too large, or too small. We have constructed large 40x25m pavilions in the past, but also small porches and canopies.
That brings us to looking back over the 24 years of Bolton Buildings and a discussion that keeps coming up is that we do so much more than just the Car Ports, maybe we are being a bit modest here but we have undertaken a range of fantastic and challenging projects over the years from bespoke Garden Rooms and Pool houses to building the Cube Project featured on George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces and The Gadget Man. We really enjoy bringing people’s visions to life and creating amazing spaces, something we would like to focus more on as a business.
We have also just launched a new Kit Only Car Port which we will be expanding to Porches and later in the year. These kits come with every timber section and fixing you will need to create your own building, all you need to do is cover the roof in your desired product, plus install a foundation. Soon, our new website tool will launch, where you will be able to design your own Car Port perfect for all you DIYers out there.
